POSITION: Volunteer Writer/Blogger

DESCRIPTION: Are you interested in working from home on your own schedule? You’ve come to the right place. This position does not require you to come in an office or work 7AM to 3PM. You make your own schedule, develop your own strategy, and work from wherever you are.

We are interested in someone who can help develop effective newsletters and blogs about our programs, projects, students and staff. This is a virtual/remote unpaid position—allowing you to serve effectively and comfortably without leaving the comfort of your home. And no previous nonprofit experience is needed.

In this role, you will be given a topic and directives to create an impressive and result-oriented newsletter for our audience. Your writing will trigger readers’ actions. This is a great opportunity to apply your skills to create impact for a great cause.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Excellent ability writing action-oriented or call-to-action content
2. Prefers candidates with experience in nonprofit causes, college or community newspaper, or about social injustice issues

Do you have a great marketing, sales, and customer service experience? We’re looking for a result-oriented, energetic, and driven intern or associate to help us establish, engage, and maintain partnerships with student organizations.

Your rolement will involve researching student organizations, developing relationships, and establishing partnerships across universities. Additionally, you could be asked to help us promote our stories to media agencies, bloggers, and other potential partners.

Plus, you will be joining a fun and passionate team while working for an important cause–and building your own skills and network in the process.

POSITION: Intern— YouTube Video Genius

Are you a Facebook or YouTube video genius? Delano King Foundation needs a very creative, enthusiastic and motivated person to strategize and create weekly organic videos that can help us get the word about our organization and ways that people can take action and get involved.

Delano King Foundation focus on serving humanity by meeting their physical and spiritual needs, restoring hope and winning souls for Jesus Christ.  We have an “Orphans” program to spotlight in a unique ways. This virtual intern role requires 5-10 hours per week which includes a bi-weekly staff meeting.

POSITION: Intern— Education Program Strategist

DESCRIPTION: This position does not require you to come in an office or work 7AM to 3PM. You make your own schedule, develop your own strategy, and work from wherever you are.

We need an energetic and creative-minded person to help us find ways to raise awareness for our “Orphans” program. 8,000 children in Liberia lost one or both parents to the Ebola Virus, and are now orphans.  Many of these children are left vulnerable to abuse, exploitation and violence.

The loss of loved ones and the lack of employment opportunities have caused countless children to drop out of school and left to grow up with no adult support, family, or place to stay. Our program give hope!

In this role, you will strategize to spread awareness online or in your local communities to help us give orphans in Liberian and across the globe the gift of education, housing, emotional, psychological and feeding. Previous marketing, crowdfunding or PR experience is preferable for this role, but not required.

Do you have a great research or administrative skills? We’re looking for a result-oriented, energetic, and driven intern or associate to research specific information across the USA. This position will depend heavily on Google or social media searches to obtain the data needed. Additionally, you could be asked to help us analyze or clean the data to increase probability of better results. Primarily, your research will focus on media agencies, newspapers, bloggers, etc… Plus, you will be joining a fun and passionate team while working for an important cause–and building your own skills and network in the process.

POSITION: Fundraising Support Representative

DESCRIPTIONS: Looking to make a difference? Do you need a practical experience with measurable outcome? Consider joining our team of volunteers and interns. Because of volunteers like you, Delano King Foundation has been able to serve more poor families and orphans in Liberia. We hope to continue the work we do by welcoming  new folks and ideas to join our team of passionate staff, volunteers, and interns.

We’re launching a new campaign to provide unconventional care for orphans, less fortunate children and families in Liberia, and it would be great if you join the team as a Fundraising Support Representative for a period of six months (or more).

Getting started is easy to do. We’ll give you all the tools and training you need– including walking you through the process. With your help, we can ensure orphans achieve their full potentials.

By becoming a Fundraising Support Representative for Delano King Foundation, you will help more orphans and less fortunate within your comfort zone and at your own pace or schedule. You’ll give orphans the pathways to achieving their full potentials. We will create an online platform for you and assign one of our staff to support your efforts, answer your questions, have weekly or bi-weekly scheduled calls with you (if you want to). There is only one requirement for becoming a Fundraising Support Representative; and that is you must share the information with people within or outside your network what you’re doing and why you are doing it. Because your time and effort is important us,  we will write a story about your efforts in our end-of-campaign newsletter.

POSITION: Intern- Social Media Manager (LinkedIn)

DESCRIPTIONS: Are you the one who could take our social media presence to the next level? We’re looking for a passionate, energetic, and talented marketing or social media intern to help us engage our online community better. This is a position that doesn’t expect you to come in an office or work 7AM to 3PM.

You will make your own schedule and work from wherever you are. Your role will involve developing updates related to our programs and optimizing content to grow our social media (LinkedIn) community most effectively. Additionally, you could be asked to help us promote our stories to media agencies, bloggers, student organizations, and potential partners. Plus, you will get to join a fun, passionate team, working for an important cause–and build your own skills and network in the process.

POSITION: Media or Press Kit Experience Volunteer or Intern

DESCRIPTIONS: Are you interested in working from home on your own schedule? We are interested in someone who can help develop effective Media Kit or Press Kit for our organization. If you have experiences developing Media Kit or Press kit, we invite you to apply. This is a virtual/remote volunteer position—allowing you to serve effectively and comfortably without leaving the comfort of your home. And no previous nonprofit experience is needed.

You will be given a program draft and some directives to create an impressive and result-oriented Media Kit or Press Kit. This includes deciding on what sections should be in the Press Kit or Media Kit; keeping the audience in mind (potential partners, sponsors, donors or volunteers) for effectiveness; attracting the readers by painting visual images in the readers’ minds; etc… We will use your Media Kit or Press Kit extensively to engage donors/volunteers, to secure sponsorships, and to establish partnerships. POSITION: Crowdfunding Intern or Volunteer

DESCRIPTIONS: Delano King Foundation seeks an experienced Crowdfunding Intern or Volunteer to help us launch and manage our crowdfunding campaigns. This person will work remotely from his/her home within his/her preferred schedule. You will work with existing staff members to develop, launch, and effectively manage   two crowdfunding campaigns for 2018. Prior nonprofit experience is not required, but we prefer a candidate with experience in the role or responsibilities mentioned above.The key responsibilities are:
1. Help devise PR strategies and key messages for the Crowdfunding campaigns.
2. Instruct, and manage staff to help the campaign reach its funding goals.
3. Update existing board, staff, and supporters on the campaign’s progress and challenges
4. Work with Delano King Foundation’s graphic designer to enhance the crowdfunding campaign and attract supporters
5. Respond to supporters questions and media inquiries, if necessary
6. Educate existing staff members on how we can help you with the crowdfunding campaigns

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1) Excellent writing ability to communicate our messages to the public
2) Some level of crowdfunding expertise or experience is required
3) Has successful experience managing Crowdfunding page or Crowdsourcing campaigns
4) Must be willing to work in a team and leading other team members on the campaign project

POSITION: Graphic Designer Intern

DESCRIPTION: Delano King Foundation is seeking a reliable and, preferably, seasoned, graphic arts designer intern who is flexible, independent and open-mined to join our team. If you are a creative person, interested in serving your gifts to humanity, or simply trying to enhance your portfolio, please consider us. We look forward to working with anyone from any location.

DESCRIPTION: Delano King Foundation is seeking a vibrant, social media-savvy intern or volunteer to join Delano King Foundation as our LinkedIn Page Manager. This individual must be knowledgeable in the management of social media, prompt to respond to online postings and messages, enthusiastic, creatively keep our LinkedIn page active and current. Through your LinkedIn networking and promotional achievements, you will be helping Delano King Foundation accomplish our LinkedIn goals such as creating awareness, keeping supporters informed, seeking new supporters and board members, etc…

This is an intern position, but it will definitely be strong resume material. You can add the work to your resume/portfolio and use us as a reference. POSITION: Board Facilitator

DESCRIPTIONS: Delano King Foundation. has a vacancy for a Board Facilitator who will work remotely from his/her home, within his/her preferred schedule. If you are an experienced professional who understands the importance of group discussions, providing instructions and explaining process/procedures, we invite you to consider volunteering with us as a Board Facilitator.

As a board facilitator,  you will help the board effectively discuss issues, make decisions or solve problems. You will keep the board moving, and always towards its stated goals. While the board focuses on the task, you will focus not only on the process, but also the people. This is not a board membership position; therefore you are not expected to meet any financial donations goals. However, your role should focus on helping the board understand the importance of fundraising and voluntarily help the board fundraise. You will be responsible for updating the board before meetings, facilitating the board during meetings, ensuring assigned tasks are completed timely by the individuals they were assigned to, communicating frequently with all board members, especially the President, Fundraising Coordinator, and Secretary. You will also help with planning our annual board retreats.
