“Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.” – Mother Teresa
17.4 million families go to bed hungry each night in the U.S. An additional 6.9 million families experience very low food security. That means they don’t always know where their next meal is coming from. To help solve this challenge, we will collaborate with local, state, nonprofit and for-profit organizations to provide nutritional foods to families in need and help facilitate long-term solutions to the problems of hunger and poverty through community education and advocacy.
Our onsite meal program is a sit-down program that provide nutritious, hot meals, and valuable human interaction, to seniors and disable families within proximity of our feeding center. This will help ensure that the most vulnerable members of society do not go hungry.
Our Mobile Pantry will bring both shelf-stable and fresh foods to low-income families. Thousands of low-income families will have the opportunity to access the pantry each day choosing foods best suitable for their family! In addition, a worship service session may take place prior to distribution focusing on sharing the love of Jesus Christ, and working with families in understanding their potential. Your support of this organization allows us to be the hands and feet of hope to those in need at home, and all around the world. “He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea” – Matthew 18:2-6
